The final SAHYOG Conference and Brokerage Event on Bio-economy was organized in New Delhi, India, on 3-4 February 2014. The conference was organised by SAHYOG in cooperation with TERI and the European Commission.
It took place on the occasion of the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS) on 6-8 February 2014. The DSDS, convened annually by the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), is an international gathering that facilitates a vital exchange of the ideas, knowledge, lessons and awareness needed for the sustainable development of India and the world.

SAHYOG Expert’s meeting on “EU-India Cooperation on Biomass Production and Biowaste Conversion”

This international meeting between SAHYOG partners and experts from Europe and India was organised as a side event of the conference i-SUP 2012 - International Conference on Innovation and Sustainable Production, 6-9 May 1012, Bruges, Belgium. The attendance in this meeting was only by invitation.
The aim of this meeting was to discuss the templates being used for data collection for making the SAHYOG inventories of biomass/biowaste production and biomass research projects. Some preliminary results were also presented. This provided an opportunity to improve the methodology, identify missing links and streamline the inventorisation process in India and Europe.
Apart from the project partners, Experts have been invited from European and Indian funding agencies, industries, agriculture producers, logistics, experts from other biomass projects and existing international biomass networks.

SAHYOG Stakeholder Workshop - EU-India Cooperation on Biomass and Bio-waste Research and Development

The aim of this SAHYOG workshop was to involve international experts and specialists from research, industry, and Governments in the elaboration of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) and the RTD Roadmap developed in the framework of the SAHYOG project.
This SAHYOG workshop was organised on the occasion of the 21st European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EU BC&E 2013) taking place at Bella Center, Copenhagen, Denmark on 3-7 June 2013.
In this workshop activities and findings of the SAHYOG project were discussed with international stakeholders. Furthermore, project participants from India presented an overview of current research and development initiatives in the field of biomass and bio-waste in India.
